Following Art Fair Tokyo 2024, we are pleased to announce the Lucie Rie exhibition at the gallery.

Rie’s style evolved with the times, undergoing significant transformations, as she moved to London from her native Vienna where the legacy of flamboyant culture intertwined with the budding of modern design.

Influenced by a close association with the likes of Bernard Leach and Hans Coper, her work continued to evolve, showcasing various developments, though remaining within the border of vessel form for practical use.

This exhibition will feature approximately 20 pieces, including small works, tableware, and charming vases.

We hope you enjoy our selection of works by Lucie Rie uniquely coloured by a vibrant aesthetic sense she much adored.
